Charles Hasek

Bio:

Chuck is currently the Chief Technology Officer for the BNS companies based in Denver, CO. bringing over 20 years of expertise in media, entertainment, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure. Passionate about technology innovation and customer-driven product development, he previously served as Vice President of Video Technology at T-Mobile, where he led the design and development of T-Mobile TVision’s OTT and IP video services. Before that, he was a founding member and Senior Vice President of Video and Infrastructure Technology at Layer3 TV, where he played a key role in developing the most advanced IP video streaming platform of its time.

Earlier in his career, Chuck spent a decade as a Principal Architect at Time Warner Cable, pioneering industry-leading video products and technologies. He was the original author of the Emmy-winning ESNI (SCTE-224) standard (2020) and a key contributor to other Emmy-winning innovations, including Linear Video IP Streaming to Consumer-Owned Devices (2014) and NDVR/CDVR (2013). Holding over 70 U.S. patents in media and telecom technology, he has contributed to seven technical Emmy-winning advancements. Chuck earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh and remains dedicated to advancing next-generation content and media experiences.
