Chris Hock is an accomplished, strategic and innovative leader with a proven record of driving growth and transformation across the advertising, marketing and technology landscape.

He currently serves as Vice President and Head of Whale TV Ads, the monetization business unit of Whale TV, a leading independent Connected TV operating system provider focused on making TVs smart and simple to use. In this role, Hock leads the company’s advertising strategy, sales and operations, connecting brands with highly engaged TV audiences to deliver measurable ROI at scale.

He comes from Adobe where he was General Manager of the Primetime Advertising business where he enabled Media and Entertainment companies to acquire, engage, and monetize high-value audiences with compelling streaming experiences.

Earlier in his career, Hock founded and built the world’s most widely deployed addressable TV advertising platform at BlackArrow, before leading business and corporate strategy at Cadent, the world’s largest unwired TV advertising network. Even earlier, during his first tenure at Macromedia and Adobe, he led the Flash video business from inception to industry dominance—helping revolutionize how video and television are delivered and consumed online.

Hock has been deeply involved in shaping industry standards and best practices. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Streaming Video Technology Alliance, co-chaired its Advertising Working Group, and is a regular contributor to organizations including the IAB, CTAM, SCTE, NATAS, and ARF.
