Christy Tanner is a pioneering media and technology leader known for building the world’s most recognizable brands and startups into profitable, dominant multiplatform competitors.
As President and CEO of New York Public Radio, she oversees a global news and culture portfolio, including WNYC, WQXR, Radiolab, On the Media and The New Yorker Radio Hour. She also serves as Chair of Swerve TV, which recently completed Series A investment round led by Scott Galloway and launched The Prof G Channel as an anchor of Roku's creator hub.
Previously, Christy ran multiple CBS Interactive divisions, launching the successful FAST model that included CBSN. As CEO of private equity-backed TV Guide Digital, she orchestrated the company’s turnaround and successful exit to CBS. As a consultant, she advised Oaklins, DeSilva +Phillips on media and tech M&A and created growth opportunities for BBC, Univision, PBS, Altice, and Outside. She has overseen dozens of transactions on the buy-side and sell-side during more than two decades as a CEO, board director and consultant.
