Bio:

As head of DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS, Doug Eichler and his team are responsible for all aspects of DIRECTV’s non-residential customer segments. DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS is comprised of four distinct verticals:  Bar/Restaurant, Business/Private and Lodging, Institutions & Transportation.  Eichler oversees the overall P&L for each segment, including product development and deployment, pricing, packaging and offers, all touchpoints across the customer lifecycle as well as sales and distribution mix among seven sales channels across the business market, from small businesses to large enterprise customers.

Eichler is also responsible for expanding market reach and penetration. A recent expansion is the National launch of streaming for DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS customers in the small and medium business market with plans to expand up market.  Additional growth will come from our new transportation vertical, building upon being the largest live entertainment provider in the aviation area and expanding into maritime and trucking.  Eichler and his team are also leaders in the industries they serve, conducting executive-level coordination on customer advisory boards and technology forums across multiple business segments, including Hospitality, Restaurants, Hotels, Healthcare and Senior Living.

Over the course of his 28-years at DIRECTV, Eichler has worked in departments across the enterprise--including Training, Retail Services, Call Center Operations, Product Development, Manufacturing/OEM Partnerships, Consumer Electronics, National Strategic Partner Sales and Commercial. He was part of the product teams that interfaced with external partners and the Sales & Marketing organization to launch many of DIRECTV’s key products, including the launch of high-definition programming with RCA and HBO in October 1998 and the introductions of Wink/OpenTV, TiVo and Ultimate TV with Microsoft. He led the team that reinvigorated the Consumer Electronics channel, which more than tripled the business over 18 months and became a significant contributor to company revenue growth.

Eichler is based in Los Angeles, California.
