Heather Habes is a partner in Covington's Insurance Recovery practice, with nearly 15 years of experience representing and advising corporate clients in complex insurance matters, including disputes with insurers. She counsels clients across a wide range of coverage lines—including general liability, directors and officers (D&O) liability, property insurance, professional liability, and media liability—and is known for her communicative, practical, and thorough approach to risk assessment and coverage litigation.

In her coverage practice, Heather frequently guides clients through high-stakes disputes and emerging exposures, including cutting-edge questions surrounding the risks and potential coverage implications of artificial intelligence and other evolving technologies. She is especially valued by entertainment and media clients for her deep understanding of industry-specific risks and her ability to distill complicated policy language into clear, actionable advice.
