Bio:
Patrick Courtney serves as Chief Business Officer at global entertainment company Fuse Media, the leader in the creation and distribution of inclusive, purpose-driven stories and experiences for culturally diverse young adults. He leads and executes long-term strategic initiatives to support the growth and corporate development of the company. Under his leadership, Fuse was one of the first cable brands to enter the FAST space in 2018 and has since grown the company’s FAST portfolio to include a suite of inclusive brands – Shades of Black, Latino Vibes, OutTV Proud, El Rey Network, Backstage, Backstage en Español, and Somos Novelas.
Courtney also brokered groundbreaking partnerships with Lionsgate, Tastemade, Trusted Media Brands and Hartbeat to form the Fuse Media Culture Collective, a first of its kind advertising solution in CTV for brands and advertisers looking to reach multicultural audiences. Additionally, Courtney led the development and launch of the company’s subscription streaming service Fuse+.
He has been instrumental in expanding Fuse Media’s reach across the industry. Most recently, Fuse Media announced a new media brand ProfitHub in partnership with Singleton Foundation for Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy, bringing trusted financial information from creators across platforms to help young audiences take control of their financial futures.
Prior to joining Fuse Media, Courtney served as SVP programming and marketing strategy for the digital comedy network Above Average (founded by Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video), head of client services at a boutique social media agency leading campaigns for General Motors, Kia, Ubisoft, JetBlue and Random House, and co-founder of Nearly Newlywed, the bridal re-commerce startup featured on Shark Tank, which was acquired in 2020.
Courtney has been named NYC TV Week’s 40 Under 40 and Media Play News’ 40 Most Important People In Streaming for 2024.
