Bio:
Phil Green is an award-winning media executive with decades of experience leading digital success and innovation across the sports, media, entertainment, and news industries. At Brightcove – the world’s most trusted video engagement technology company – Phil currently serves as the Vice President of Media and Strategic Accounts, driving sales growth and partnerships with some of the most influential names in media, including AMC Networks, CW Network, NHL, Oscars, PGA TOUR and Yahoo.
Prior to Brightcove, Phil held various senior business and sales leadership roles at companies such as Endeavor Streaming, JDRF, USTA, MLB, MLS, ESPN, ABC Sports, and CBS News. He also founded VB Media Solutions. During his tenure at the United States Tennis Association (USTA), Phil managed digital operations across 200+ affiliated sites. Under his leadership, the USTA launched award-winning initiatives, including live streaming for the US Open and a suite of popular mobile apps, resulting in major gains in audience engagement and revenue.
When Phil served as the General Manager of Sports on Earth at MLB Advanced Media, he built a successful business overseeing digital rights and streaming for partners such as Major League Soccer, US Figure Skating, and the YES Network. He also spent eight years with The Walt Disney Company’s ESPN and ABC Sports, where he pioneered web video strategy for ESPN.com and led digital content development for high-profile properties like Monday Night Football and the Bowl Championship Series. In addition to creating innovative content-marketing and sponsorship initiatives, Phil negotiated a ground-breaking multi-year agreement with All-Pro and Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis to host an interactive weekly live audio chat during halftime of each Monday Night Football game.
Phil’s expertise spans OTT, monetization, content strategy, rights negotiation, and building high-performing teams. He is known for transforming emerging digital platforms into sustainable growth engines for top-tier media organizations.
Phil graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan with a double major in Communication and History. He lives in Westchester, New York, with his wife and two sons.
