Keynote Fireside Chat: What Comes Next for Studios & Streamers

Wed, Jun 17 | 04:10 PM - 04:30 PM
Aurora Hall 1

Session details:

The streaming era is entering its second act. The first was defined by subscriber land grabs, platform exclusivity, and library defense. The second will be defined by profitability, audience reach, advertising yield, and catalog monetization. FAST and AVOD are no longer experiments; they are structural growth engines. Despite ongoing consolidation in the industry, content supply remains highly fragmented. And the operating model that wins the next decade will be increasingly catalog-driven, ad-supported, data-enabled, and capital-disciplined.

Jeff Shultz, CEO of Radial Entertainment, sits down with Alison Brower for a forward-looking conversation about how studios and streamers are being forced to rethink everything from development strategy to monetization — and where the next sources of competitive advantage will come from. Few executives have had a closer view of the streaming economy’s evolution. As Chief Business Officer of Pluto TV, Jeff helped scale the company from independent startup to its $340 million acquisition. He later served as Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer of Paramount Streaming, helping build the business to more than $7.5 billion in revenue. He now leads Radial Entertainment, an Oaktree-backed company with the largest independent catalog of film and television, with integrated distribution and integrated capital.
